Description
Most of you will be aware that just over one thousand Military Submariners were issued by the MOD to the Army and Navy and we have just received written confirmation by the General Manager of Rolex UK that this particular watch was issued by the MOD in 1975. As you can see this 5513 retains its totally mint 10 out of 10 Military dial with circled T along with its perfectly matching sword hour and minute hand, the second hand was replaced with a tritium standard version over twenty years ago. The watch is also fitted with its original fixed case bars and a military 60 minute bezel insert. The owner of this watch had the military issue numbers polished off but as you can see from image 2 the case back is the original as it has the full engraved serial number on display. The watch has also just undergone a full UK Rolex service in 2008. A very rare watch !
