Rolex Sea DwellerThis in our opinion is what Rolex dive watches is all about, first designed in the late 1960's with the clever patented design of the helium escape valve which stopped the watch building up helium because of the depth of the dive and not blowing the glass out. The early Rolex Sea-Dwellers had the 2 lines of writing Sea-Dweller Submariner 2000 printed in Red and are now known as Double Reds and are highly sought after by collectors worldwide. Rolex also worked in conjunction with the French diving company Comex and many of their employed divers where supplied Rolex Sea-Dwellers with the Logo of Comex on the dial and the issue number engraved on the back of the watch case, again these are now highly valuable and very collectable. In the Rolex range today we have 2 models available for sale, firstly the big brother Rolex DEEPSEA 116660 which measures 43mm in diameter and fitted with a 60 minute Ceramic bezel, Titanium case back and brilliantly designed easy glide ratchet bracelet and truly is a thing of beauty which can take depths of up to 3900 Meters!!!! For the Rolex customer who wants a model smaller then the new introduced Rolex Sea-Dweller 4000 could be for you measuring 39mm in diameter so quite a bit smaller than the DEEPSEA but still benifets from the stunning Black Ceramic bezel with Platinum infill and easy adjust bracelet. If the Rolex Sea-Dweller with all of its history was good enough for the famous french diver Jacques Coustaeu then it will certainly fit the bill for you! A list of Rolex Sea-Dweller models produced since 1960's Rolex Sea-Dweller 1665 - 1960'S to Early 1980's. Rolex Sea-Dweller 16660 - Early 1980's to late 1980's.
