Vintage Rolex Sea Dweller

Rolex produced a very popular watch when they came up with the waterproof Sea Dweller with its helium escape valve and depth indicator (in feet and meters) on the dial.  The watch dial also includes clearly marked hours and minutes for easy viewing under water.  These vintage watches are guaranteed to keep perfect time, whether deep in the ocean or on the beach. 

The most common model Sea Dweller is the 16600, but the Triple Six (16660) is also very popular. 

Rolex ceased manufacturing the Sea Dweller and replaced it with the Deep Sea Dweller wristwatch, which also includes all the features popular with deep sea diving enthusiasts. 

Because the watch is no longer produced, all of the vintage Sea Dwellers have become more popular and gained even more value and are sold almost immediately when presented for resale.  The Deep Sea Dweller watches are also very popular and sell quickly.
